BADDESLEY CLINTON, WARWICKSHIRE

Boon and I are huge fans of the National Trust.

During a trip to Warwick, we checked our handbook and went to explore Baddesley Clinton.  A manor house built around the 13th century – it is beautiful both inside and out.  Plus it has a moat. And I do so love a moat.

The houses inside the grounds have been wonderfully restored; the priest holes in particular were fascinating.

Like most National Trust properties it also has a great gift shop and a lovely cafe. We were there for a good few hours.

If you are ever in the area, I would recommend paying it a visit.
