I had a fantastic time at the Harry Potter Experience, the gift shop is rather impressive. It would have been easy to get carried away and buy lots and lots of Harry Potter paraphernalia, however, I was very restrained and I just bought a few postcards for postcrossing, a huge Marauders Map mug and a Chocolate Frog.
The chocolate frog is as fabulous as in the film, only difference being that they frogs don’t actually jump – which in terms of eating the frog is probably a good thing.
I had planned to do a whole thing with the frog, taking funny pictures and stuff, but while I was sat on the EuroTunnel on the way home, I couldn’t wait any longer and had to try it. (hence the dodgy car background)!
The frog is heavy and completely solid chocolate. It can not be eaten in a delicate way – nibbling does not work – you have to bite it! Which is why there are no pictures of me eating it. I wouldn’t inflict that one anyone.
I’ve become a little spoilt with the Belgian chocolate over here, so although not amazing, the chocolate itself was still rather tasty.
I’m happy I got to try a chocolate frog and if you get to the Warner Bros. Studio I would suggest picking one up, even if it’s just for the novelty factor.
