While we were in Morocco Boon and I walked 20 miles in a week, which is pretty good going for us. We vowed to keep up the good work when we got back to Belgium, but our plans were scuppered when my clumsy husband fell down the steps to our cellar and sprained both of his ankles.
After two weeks of elevating his feet, yesterday he was finally up for a little walk. Luckily the weather was on our side and it was a beautiful day, very cold, but the sunshine was lovely.
So we headed south to Halle’s Wood. Famous for it’s bluebells in Spring, it’s beech trees make it really rather beautiful all year round.
According to runkeeper we clocked up just over two miles in 45 minutes. Not a bad start!
