No Silent Sunday from me today. This week has been anything but quiet, so I wanted to share a little more of my trip to Budapest with you.
The final site I saw up on Castle Hill was the Matthias Church. Located next to the Fisherman’s Bastion, the church was built in 1015, rebuilt in the 14th century and then extensively restored in the 19th century.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a church with so much colour before – the gold in the walls and the bright blue and orange of the roof were gorgeous.
This was a lovely way to spend an hour – especially in the rain!
